| Bio: | My journal is "friends only". I figure, I pay for this little chunk of cyber space, so I want to be comfortable in it. I want to know everyone here, and be okay with them. I'm not saying everybody has to agree with me (Gods! I'd die of boredom!), but flame-wars, pointless sniping, unnecessary drama (that would be most drama), name-calling, etc... will get you removed from my journal. That said, this is not a low-intensity place. This journal can be a to-do list one day, and a wild ride the next. Cerval roulette, you never know what you get. I rant, I write long essays about emotional things, I'm a very frank and direct person. I also have a lot of fun. Bad jokes, stupid human tricks, Cerval’s Poetry Corner, funny kid stories, what my idiot cats did today... Heck, just look at the interest list and figure that's what I ramble on about. And none of this is an advertisement to come read my journal. It's locked for a reason. If I don't know you, or you're not a friend-of-a-friend, you're going to have to come up with a pretty compelling reason for me too add you. I'm bitchy that way. While I'm being bitchy... an administrative note: I am a filter whore. I have hit LJ's filter limit and had to re-work my filters more than once. If you think I have cool and wonderful filters that I'm excluding you from; either you don't know me well, or you missed the most recent "Admin: Filter opt-in" post... try sending me an e-mail. Also, and far more importantly, I share a lot with you, my friends, in this journal. This journal is locked, I decide who does and does not read it, and who does and does not read what entries. Please be respectful of that. Don't assume that just because someone else reads my journal, they read all the same entries you do. Most of all, please do not discuss my journal, my writing, or the revelations about my personal life that I choose to share with you here, outside of this journal. I know a number of you in "real life" and in various social scenes; you wouldn't be here if there weren't things I was willing to share with you, but that's with you, not with everyone we know in common. Born in the wilds of Shreveport, Louisiana, I have lived near Boulder, Colorado (thirty square miles surrounded on all sides by Reality) since 1989. I am a Pagan, a wife, the mother of two children, and keeper of the Cats of Chaos. I am a literature snob, avid reader, science fiction fan, Goth, and music lover. I sing with a small Celtic Folk group, Wild Elf, that centers around ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} gafferbear (that harp guy) and his gorgeous harp music. I dance any chance I get. It was long my custom to hang out whenever I could at Penny Lane coffeehouse in Boulder. It was haven, comfort, friendship, and refuge to me for almost sixteen years. A community, gathering place, and 'home' like no other (although compared more than once to Callahan's Place), Penny Lane was forced to close its doors forever on July 18, 2005. I am primarily an at-home Mommy, and She Who Makes The Day To Day Life Of The Family Happen. I am the Mom that goes for the throat when someone says "Oh, so you don't work" when I respond "I'm home with my kids full time" to the "What do you do" question. Anyone who calls me a 'housewife' is in for a Dr. Marten in the ass. I am not married to the house.
